Love Land is an intimate journey through memory, grief, and the emotional legacy left by the artist’s father, who died after years of alcoholism. Returning to the American suburb of her childhood, Helena Ernst reconstructs a world shaped by dreams, nostalgia, and a lingering sense of unease. Through expired film once owned by her father, digital photographs, 16mm stills, and fragments of diaries, the project weaves together archive and autobiography in a search for reconciliation, identity, and connection beyond loss.
